Irish and Walker was formed in 1972 by the now Principal Consultant Kenneth Irish shortly after qualifying as a Structural Engineer and following the publication of a book written in collaboration with his then college W .P. Walker entitled 'Foundations for Reciprocating Machines' published by the Cement & Concrete Association.

For over 35 years we have specialised in the investigation of structural problems and the execution / supervision of appropriate remedial works for both householders and commercial / industrial clients.

Our main objective has been to apply a pragmatic approach to client's needs and thus to arrive at cost effective solutions to structural problems whether this be in the form of the preparation of engineer's reports for vendors and prospective purchasers or the preparation of specifications, schedules of work / condition or calculations for new build, extensions & alterations or loft / basement conversions.
